SJMR Accounting · Android, Windows and website services
Last updated: 23 October 2026
SJMR Software provides SJMR Accounting for business accounting. This policy explains how information is handled by our Android app, Windows software, website and optional connected services. For privacy questions or requests, email [email protected].
1. Your company’s accounting data
SJMR Accounting stores the primary company database on your main PC or your organisation’s chosen server. The Android app connects to the office address you configure to display and manage records according to your user permissions. These records may include invoices, payments, financial information and customer, supplier, employee and user details. Using the Android app does not automatically upload the company database to an SJMR cloud accounting service.
Your organisation controls its company records, user access, retention and exports. Contact your company administrator about access, correction or deletion of those records.
2. Information on your Android device
- The app stores your selected office address, app preferences and WebView session information, cookies and cache needed to connect and stay signed in.
- When you choose to download, export, print, upload or share a document, the app processes the selected files for that action. Exported files can remain in your device’s Downloads or other selected location.
- The app uses internet access and network connection status to connect to your office and show connection errors. It does not request access to your contacts, precise location, microphone or camera.
- If you enable app lock, Android verifies your biometric or device credential. SJMR does not receive your fingerprint, face template or device PIN.
The Android app does not include advertising or third-party analytics SDKs.
3. Licence, website and support information
Activation and licence checks use licence and installation identifiers to verify entitlement and installation limits. Where supplied for licensing, email delivery, feedback or support, we process your name, email address, phone number and the details you send us. Do not include passwords or unnecessary sensitive accounting records in support messages.
Our website sends a basic visit-count request to our service. Website and service requests expose technical information such as your IP address to the hosting infrastructure. Website feedback includes your submitted contact details, message, optional installation identifier and request IP address for response and abuse prevention. The website visit counter does not set a tracking cookie or persistent visitor identifier.
4. Optional connected services
- Google Drive backups: if you connect Google Drive, SJMR uses Google’s
drive.filepermission for files created by or made available to the app, including backups in the SJMR Backups folder. Connection credentials are used to perform your enabled backup and restore actions. You can disconnect the service in SJMR or revoke access through your Google account. Disconnecting does not delete existing backup files; you can delete those in Google Drive. - Document sharing: if you use email, WhatsApp, printing or another sharing destination, selected documents and recipient information are passed to the service or destination you choose. Those services apply their own privacy policies.
- Remote access: a VPN such as Tailscale is a separate service you may choose to use. Its provider handles VPN connection information under its own policy.
5. How information is used and shared
Information is used to provide accounting access, authentication, licence verification, requested backups and document delivery, customer support, feedback handling and service security. We do not sell personal information or use company accounting records for advertising.
Our service providers include Cloudflare for website and service hosting and security, Google when you enable Drive backups, and Resend for service email delivery. They receive information needed for the relevant function. These services may process information outside your country. We may also disclose information where required by law or necessary to protect against fraud and security abuse.
6. Security and network connections
Access to company data depends on your office server’s authentication and permissions. Use a trusted network and protect your devices, accounts and backups. Use HTTPS for public internet access. Connections to a private office address may use HTTP; HTTP itself does not encrypt traffic. A separately configured VPN can protect traffic over its network. No storage or transmission method can guarantee complete security.
7. Retention, correction and deletion
Your company administrator manages the company database and keeps records according to business and legal requirements. Clearing Android app storage or uninstalling the app removes app-private settings, sessions and cache; it does not delete the main PC’s company records, exported files in shared storage, or cloud backups. Delete exported files from their saved location and optional cloud backups from the relevant service.
For personal information held by SJMR for licensing, support or website feedback, request access, correction or deletion at [email protected]. State what you want changed or deleted and provide enough information to identify the relevant licence or request; do not send your password. We may verify your identity. We retain information only as needed to deliver the service and meet applicable legal, contractual, security and dispute-resolution requirements. If some information must be retained, we will explain this when responding.
8. Business use and policy updates
SJMR Accounting is intended for business use and is not directed at children. We may update this policy as the software or services change. The current version and its update date will be published on this page.
